I feel sorry for Blossomfall, lots of people misunderstand her character. Blossomfall doesn't want to be treated like a kit, she wants to be loved like a clanmate/family member. Most psychologists agree that love is a basic need. All people regardless of age want to know they are loved by someone, especially family.

Millie fans often argue that Millie was justified in what she said to Blossomfall because Blossomfall went into the tunnels rather than hunting. First off Millie did not know what Blossomfall did all morning, she was in camp. She jumped to the conclusion that Blossomfall was playing around without evidence. Even if she did know that Blossomfall was exploring the tunnels she could have been less harsh in her scolding. The whole bringing up Briarlight's injury was inappropriate, not to mention insensitive to Briarlight. Imagine how Briarlight must have felt hearing her mother use her injury to belittle her sister. She must have felt like her family was falling apart. In my opinion it is never appropriate to bring up one child while scolding another, this is emotionally manipulative. It breeds jealousy and rivalry between siblings. Millie wasn't even concerned that Blossomfall was injured. How uncaring can you get? And then she scowls at Brackenfur when he says at least they are alright. Seriously, what's her deal?

Also you have to take in account that Blossomfall is not in her right mind, she is depressed borderline suicidal. Blossomfall literally sees herself as a bad cat for feeling jealous of her sister, she thinks she deserves to go to the Dark Forest.

Millie fans say Blossomfall is bratty for feeling jealous of her sister, but jealousy is a natural emotion. Many characters in the books experience jealously at some point in the series: Ivypool, Dustpelt, Brightheart,...etc. Plus people can't help what emotion they feel. A person cannot simply decided not be jealous anymore than they could decide to be happy. People feel what they feel, the only thing they can do is control how they respond to their feelings.
